Our Core Privacy Principle

Your documents stay on your device. All PDF processing — scanning, editing, merging, compressing, signing, and protecting — happens locally on your iPhone or iPad. We do not upload, access, store, or transmit your documents to any external server. Period.

Information You Provide

  • Contact Information: If you contact us via email or our website contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content to respond to your inquiry.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve the Service. This may include app version, device type, operating system version, and general feature usage patterns.
  • Website Analytics: Our website uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous traffic data including pages visited, time on site, and referral sources. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect, access, or store any of your PDF documents or files
  • We do not use your camera data beyond the immediate scanning session
  • We do not track your location
  • We do not sell any personal information to third parties
  • We do not use your data for advertising purposes

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your documents are synced through Apple’s iCloud infrastructure under your own Apple ID. This sync is managed entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to your iCloud data.

Subscriptions and Payments

All subscription payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID credentials. Payment processing is governed by Apple’s Terms of Service.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect any information we do collect. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data.

Children’s Privacy

BossPDF does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove that information.
